L’uva Italia è considerata la più importante tipologia di uva da tavola del nostro Paese. Acini grandi, una buccia giallo-verde spessa, una polpa succosa sono le principali sue caratteristiche. Poiché molto resistente agli agenti patogeni è anche un’uva molto produttiva e tra le più diffuse nel nostro Paese.
Frutto rotondo o ovale, in grappoli, della pianta della vite, l’uva da tavola rappresenta un’eccellenza della produzione di frutta in Puglia. Dolce, nutriente e ricca di sostanze dalle formidabili proprietà benefiche, l’uva da tavola è ottima da consumare in qualunque momento della giornata e in tutte le sue parti. Sia la buccia sia la polpa contengono, infatti, elementi le cui proprietà salutari sono costantemente sperimentate e confermate da studi scientifici.
L’uva da tavola, frutto della pianta arborea rampicante appartenente alla famiglia delle Vitaceae, si presenta in forma di grappolo con acini di diversa taglia, forma e colore. Le sue proprietà sono largamente diffuse e apprezzate, legate soprattutto alla presenza di vitamine, sali minerali, fibre, folati e acqua nonché alla scarsissima percentuale di calorie.
Particolarmente significativa è la componente del resveratrolo, un fenolo non flavonoide che si trova nella buccia dell’uva e che garantisce un’importante azione antiossidante, antibatterica, antifungina e antinfiammatoria (azione, quest’ultima, svolta anche dalla quercetina).
La polpa, con le sue alte dosi di potassio, vitamine, ferro, magnesio, sodio, offre un gusto dolce e piacevole che impatta positivamente sul benessere fisico. Il consumo dell’uva aiuta a prevenire le malattie del cuore, favorisce l’idratazione e i movimenti intestinali, limita il rischio di tumori.
